Ceci Bastida has become one of the first women to rise in the ranks of Latin rock. Formerly of Tijuana No and backup for Julieta Venegas, Ceci is now embarking on her first project as a solo artist.
Upground is a young vibrant East L.A. band that has developed a huge following throughout the Southwest, performing an indefinable blend of Ska, reggae, rock, and CUMBIA!
Gustavo is a singer-songwriter who lives between two countries, two languages and three cultures -- American, Mexican and Mexican-American/Chicano -- a perfect act Sin Limites performer! He blends the smooth vocals of Mexican balladeers with songwriters like Cat Stevens.
Abie Tobier, influenced by Classic Rock, brit pop, and Electronic soundscapes, Abie has his own style.

Call for Applications: The Nickelodeon Writing Fellowship
Nickelodeon is offering writing fellowships in live action and animated television to writers with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Participants will have hands-on interaction with executives writing spec scripts and pitching story ideas.
The program, developed to broaden Nickelodeon’s outreach efforts, provides a salaried position for up to one year. The next submission period runs from January 2 – February 28, 2008.

Eva Longoria Parker Starring in Film Opening Friday
Approximately 17 million people tune in weekly to see Eva Longoria Parker as Gabrielle ABC’s Desperate Housewives. On film she has co-starred in The Sentinel (along with Michael Douglas) and Harsh Times which starred Christian Bale. In Over Her Dead Body, which opens nationwide this Friday, February 1st, Eva’s star power will be tested to see if her star power can open a film.
Eva plays Kate, a self-centered bride-to-be who is crushed by an ice sculpture before the wedding, then returns as a ghost to sabotage her fiancé’s (Paul Rudd) new romance. The film is rated PG-13.

The goal of the retreat is to provide professional artists with the tools to organize, plan, and sustain their creative careers.
