Many of you heard about Nely Galán's sold out workshop, "Follow Your Bliss With A Backup Position: How To Produce What You Love Without Selling Your Soul," where Nely Galán of Galán Entertainment talked about how you can be a producer, make projects you love and create wealth, all without selling your soul. Others of you were there and wished you had a recording to replay!

 New Multimedia Outlet Seeks Short Films
Mini Movie Channel, a newly formed international multiplatform company, is seeking short films. The first phase of the Mini Movie project will be a U.S. website scheduled to launch at the end of 2007, and subsequent phases will include wireless and television channels. Mini Movie is primarily interested in short-form comedy, whether live action or animated, although other genres will be considered. Running times of submitted films should be under 15 minutes.
Mini Movie Channel pays up-front licensing fees for films selected for programming, based on a formula that takes running time, prior exposure in our target platforms, and other factors into consideration. Selected films will be broadcast on Mini Movie Channel free of charge to consumers. Mini Movie Channel will not sell downloads of movies.
Filmmakers wishing to submit work for consideration should send an NTSC/Region Zero screener DVD to the below address, or contact the company for instructions regarding electronic uploading. Those whose work has been selected will be contacted for a discussion of terms. All clearance issues must be resolved prior to entering into a Mini Movie license deal, so before submitting please consider whether issues such as copyrighted music or clips, SAG actor arrangements, and the use of copyrighted logos/products may impede the licensing process for your film. Once a film is programmed and licensed, filmmakers will need to deliver product on MiniDV, DVCAM, DigiBeta, or Betacam (no film prints).

Mr. Greenberg has been a successful casting director since the 1980s. He has cast some of the top shows in film and television! Cheers, My So Called Life, Wings and Frasier are just a few of the television projects he had worked.

 "En Un Sol Amarillo" Finishing its Acclaimed Run
Center Theatre Group and FITLA have joined forces to present EN UN SOL AMARILLO performed by the internationally known Teatro de los Andes from Bolivia written and directed by Cesar Brie.
The show runs thru. Nov. 25, 2007 at The Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City and is performed in Spanish with English supertitles.
Fusing actual testimonies with electrifying imagery Teatro de los Andes recreates the feverish atmosphere of Bolivia in 1998 when a massive earthquake rocked the country’s foundations. Riding the rails northward on what is described as one of the most dangerous routes in the world, these migrants encounter peril around every bend - coyotes, thieves, gangs, the police and the military - all waiting to take what little they are able to carry with them - or even their lives.
