IndiePix.net Announces Call for Documentary Filmmakers' Work;
IDA To Receive Portion of All Sales

NEW YORK, June 14, 2005--IndiePix.net, a unique new online e-store created for the independent film community and moviegoers with a taste in specialized films, announced today a special program benefiting the International Documentary Association.

In an effort to expand the company's roster of documentary film offerings, IndiePix President Robert Alexander announced that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every documentary by an IDA member who lists his film(s) on IndiePix will be donated to the International Documentary Association.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for nonfiction filmmakers who have important stories to tell to bring them directly to the millions of people around the world who have access to DVD players," says IDA Executive Director Sandra Ruch. "It will also enable the public to experience films which might not be available or convenient for them to see on television or on cinema screens."

Once available for sale on the IndiePix.net site, when an IDA member's film is purchased by an IndiePix customer, a special coding will indicate that the sale will result in a contribution of 20% of selling price (exclusive of shipping and handling costs) to the IDA.

Dedicated to providing consumers the broadest possible range of independent film choices, IndiePix considers the theatrical commercial opportunities for documentary films to be severely restricted in most communities.

"Except in the rare circumstance when a documentary breaks out to achieve a commercially successful theatrical run, these films are all too often restricted to the film festival circuit. As prestigious and popular as many of those festivals may be, it's a somewhat closed world. Working with the IDA, we want to open that world up to the millions of people who are increasingly looking to the web to explore their interest in film. By making documentaries one of the signature offerings at IndiePix, we hope to infuse a new source of audience-building into the world of documentary filmmaking and the IDA," said Alexander.

A one-stop shop for getting filmmakers' work onto DVD and in front of audiences, IndiePix.net offers tailored self-distribution and promotion services to both emerging and established film artists. IndiePix.net packages are non-exclusive and allow filmmakers to retain all rights to their films while reaping profits each month for units sold via online PayPal accounts. Unlike most royalties-based profit sharing, IndiePix.net offers filmmakers immediate and ongoing access to accounting statements and sales reports.

IDA members interested in having their film(s) offered for sale on IndiePix.net, or who would like additional information on the IDA contribution program, should contact IndiePix at Bob@IndiePix.net. For the speediest reply, please include the following in the subject line: "IDA PROGRAM INFORMATION REQUEST".
