The Cynosure Screenwriting Competition seeks to expand the scope of mainstream cinema by recognizing film scripts with distinctive and challenging screen roles for both women and minorities. Now in its 7th year, the competition is looking for fresh, new voices. First Place winners in the Female Protagonist and Minority Protagonist categories win a cash prize of $2,500 and a free consultation with a professional story analyst. Sí TV Sees Seven Imagen Nominations

English-Language, Latino Network Is Recognized for Three Original and Four Acquired Programs on its Generation Sí Lineup

Los Angeles , CA ( May 10, 2005 ) – Sí TV, the only English-language Latino television network, was nominated for seven Imagen Awards by The Imagen Foundation. The nominations were received for three shows originally-produced by Sí TV and four acquired programs. Each year, The Imagen Foundation recognizes excellence and promotes higher representation of Latinos in the entertainment industry by honoring Latino artists as well as studios and networks who have contributed significantly to its mission.
