Documentary Fellows must have a Rough Cut of their project. Producer/Directors will be invited to attend with their Editor -- teams of two or three -- for the 1-week intensive that evaluates the material, funding plan, post-production process and outreach.

English-Language, Latino Network Announces Marketing Partnership with Latium Entertainment
Los Angeles , CA ( May 10, 2005 ) – Sí TV, the only English-language Latino television network, announced today a marketing partnership with Houston-based music label, Latium Entertainment. The partnership kicked off April 29 and will continue throughout the upcoming spring Latium Tour, which is conducted in English and features Latium/Universal breakout American Latino artists Frankie J, Baby Bash, and Natalie.
The partnership is a natural one for both parties who are seeking to reach Generation Sí; young, English-dominant Latinos who make up 60% of all U.S. Hispanic spending. All three Latium artists had previously performed on Sí TV’s hit show “The Drop” to reach their audience and conversely Sí TV has shown its commitment to young Latino talent by supporting the tour.
“Sí TV is an ideal partner,” said Charles Chavez, President and CEO of Latium Entertainment. “The decision to partner became obvious when we read a Sí TV ad in a trade publication that was targeting the same demographic we were trying to reach. Sí TV is at the forefront of targeting this new generation of Latinos and we are proud to be partnering with them during the Latium Tour.”

A recently received "get well" e-mail, reminds me to keep you posted on my progress regarding my health scare. I continue to be very moved by the amount and quality of support given to me by so many of you.
Somewhat embarrassed, but nevertheless very selfishly, I write this because I need you to get back and jam again the switchboard up there with requests for my well being. As some of you by now know, when I went three weeks ago through the procedure to block one of my carotid arteries, the doctors found an additional problem in my brain vascular system [some pinche thing called Dural Arteriovenous Fistula, another tongue-twisting way to say that another one of my arteries, this one a small one, is not working properly] Sh.., man, once you let them in...but at least, as Frank Zuniga and Alex Nogales pointed out, now I have a good excuse when someone calls me pendejo.
At that time the doctors needed to make additional tests to see if it required intervention and by now it has been determined that we better take care of the issue now before it turns into a major problem. So, here I go again... this following Tuesday, May 24th, at 8AM I will place myself again on the hands of this Uruguayo Doctor at UCLA Medical Center for him to again, literally, mess with my head (I hope that Fernando Espuelas is correct in his assertion that the uruguayos are the best curanderos).
Please excuse me for asking for your prayers again, but since they worked wonders the last time, I can't afford to go this time without counting with them.
I will continue to fish out as many news related to all of us until the day before my procedure and once again, I ask from my very much appreciated co-editor, Jose Murillo, to continue receiving directly all the postings to the eNewsletter until I am back after recuperating from this other procedure. Al fin y al cabo, we know by know that more loco or bruto I can't come out of one of these. (Funny thing: It seems that the only "negative" identifiable result of the first procedure is that they erased the memories of few films that I have just watched, FINDING NEVERLAND and THE SECRET WINDOW in between them, it is a weird feeling to watch a film for the second time without having the remote recollection of how it will end... I keep complaining why it wasn't the bad ones they erased)
My family and I will forever be grateful to the NALIP family for its support.
Alexito
