Come and join the CASA 0101 family for an acting class that is sure to set your talents to new heights! Come and study with a working industry professional to learn new techniques and to refresh your old ones. This ten week course is sure to be an exciting and inspiring course that will include scene study, script analysis, character technique, audition preparation, and practical steps to administer your acting career!
* Learn to develop and strengthen the persistent, hard-working, and disciplinary attitude it takes to be a working actor!

* Learn how to develop your natural creativity to work through emotional blocks and become the best actor you can be!

About the instructor:
Darius Dudley is an actor from Detroit who has performed across the Unites States and Canada. Darius studied acting at the Detroit Repertory Theatre and Wayne State University. He was trained in improvisation at Chicago's Second City. In addition to instructing voice and diction, scene study and improvisation at the Rep in Detroit, he has taught acting fundamentals at Cal State U, LA. He is currently nominated for Best Supporting Actor of 2004 by the judges of the NAACP Theater Awards for his roll as Mr. Peafeathers in
Section 8. You may have recently seen him on The Tonight Show, The Practice, The Drew Carey Show and in various TV commercials and magazine adds.
He acknowledges Eric Morris, Del Close, Greg Dean and Paul Ryan as mentors. His favorite roles are Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Vladimir in Waiting for Godot and any character in an improv sketch.
In his own words: "I design my courses to provide the actor the tools necessary to get a job, depending on his or her present level of experience. If the actor is not seasoned enough to get out and work upon completion of the course work, then he should at least be able to recognize his progress, and realize what his next training steps should be. Finally, my classes stress creativity and fun."

LOUIS MEDINA’s screenwriting is largely influenced by his multifaceted life experience. Born in El Salvador, he grew up and went to school in Los Angeles, graduating from USC with a double Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and East Asian Languages and Cultures. After working for nine years in Hiroshima, Japan, he moved to Madrid, Spain where he received his Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Louis’ screenplays are character-driven, and often feature Hispanic and gay characters. A member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers, IFP/Los Angeles, the American Cinematheque, and OUTFEST, Louis is committed to promoting diversity in film and the media. HOTLINE is Louis’ third screenplay, and is largely informed by his previous work as a funeral director and a suicide hotline volunteer. In addition he has completed the gay love story WHEN THE KING LOOKS FOR THE HIDDEN MOON and FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE, a collegiate coming-of-age-story.

Call For Entries
The 2005 Crystal Reel Awards honor outstanding achievement in the
Motion Picture, Television, Audio Recording and Digital Media Industries in the State of Florida. The competition is open to FMPTA members and others who worked on projects in the State of Florida between January 1, 2003 and Dec 31, 2004. Awards will be presented on June 11, 2005 in a formal gala at the Radisson at the Port in Cape Canaveral. It's a brand-new pavilion with lots of room and outstanding support features.

information on making reservations for the gala. How To Enter Entries must be submitted on VHS videocassette, DVD, CD or audiocassette. Scripts are to be entered in an accepted form for submission to agents and studios. One entry per cassette, no ID leaders or slates, please. The entry form must be completed in full and attached to the outside of the cassette. Each cassette and box must have a label on it listing the entrant's name and the Class, Type, and Category code of the entry.
Entrants may use photocopies of the official entry form for multiple
entries. Entries that do not comply with these guidelines, do not have the applicable fee enclosed, or are not received by the deadline will not be judged.

Ordinarily, it's bad form to have your chones showing in public. However, NALIP-Austin invites you to show your shorts - your film shorts, that is - in a public screening of short films, Chonitos - Show us your Shorts!
The first of NALIP-Austin's quarterly screenings is open to all film-makers of all ages. All films must be by or about Latinos(as) and should be no longer than 30 minutes in length. Both VHS and DVD formats are accepted.
Seasoned and new filmmakers working in all genres are welcome, as are works in progress. (Please, no "blue" chones - films with X-rated content). All participants will benefit from receiving first impression responses to their work by those in attendance. The best short selected by the audience walks away with a prize.
The National Association of Latino Independent Producers approved the formation of NALIP-Austin in November 2004. NALIP-Austin echoes the mission of its parent organization by promoting the advancement and development of Latino/a film and media arts in all
genres. Future NALIP-Austin events include organizing panels for SXSW, Cine Las Americas, and a screenwriting class.

McDonald’s® and AIM Tell-A-Vision Team Up to Produce Recurring Segments Covering Latin Entertainment and Film

- Must be experienced in the process of creating and executing innovative, high-concept television promotions.
- Experience as a copywriter for print is an asset.
- Must have a working knowledge of television pre- and post-production involving the use of studio facilities, lighting, graphic design and animation, editing, audio production and shooting techniques.

Senior Producer – Series & Specials: VH1
(Location: New York, NY)
Job Description:
∑ Oversight of all aspects of large scale VH1 productions. Including- but not limited to- high profile specials and stunts (multi-episode program blocks).
∑ Managing television productions from concept through completion: hands on producing, budgeting, casting, scripting, production team management, rights & clearances and post-production supervision.
∑ Candidates should have the ability to manage a group of producers within their total production team.
∑ Extensive production experience required: field work, writing, editing, strong storytelling and interview skills.
∑ Ability to juggle multiple hours at a time.
∑ Responsible for developing/pitching ideas on a constant basis and taking those ideas thru to on air product.
∑ Creative strategizing for VH1 productions (the look, feel and attitude of a production), interfacing with senior management to ensure the program produced is representative of the VH1 brand, and expediting inter-channel needs for press, marketing, graphics, music talent and promotion.
Required Qualifications:
∑ Preferably 6+ years as a television producer with a sample reel of past programs.
∑ Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly communicate job expectations to support staff.
∑ Experience with archival material is an asset.
∑ A thorough understanding of editing/post production is essential.
∑ Need to have pop culture sensibility and knowledge of music.
∑ Ability to work in a fast paced environment and ability to multi-task
