NALIP WELCOMES NEW MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

NALIP welcomes Jose Murillo as our new Membership Coordinator in the Santa Monica Office. We all miss Abel Salas: as you know, he was whisked away by NATPE to become national membership and programs coordinator. Jose will do a terrific job: he joins us as a graduate of USC where he did internships at Paramount and DreamWorks, and spent the past year working with GMT Studios as production coordinator. He looks forward to speaking with all of you, and getting to know the membership asap. In one short week, he has already coordinated NALIP’s Move to New Offices…

Our Second piece of news. many of you visited us at our NATPE offices over the past 3 years: We thank them for being great landlords and wish them well in their new digs. We now have our own space at 1323 Lincoln Blvd #220, between Santa Monica Blvd and Arizona Avenue. Walking distance to lots of great coffee shops and movie theatres. And we have lots of space for our Conference VI, LMRG and LPA projects plus a meeting/screening room and more. Come by and visit! Our new Membership Phone is 310.395.8880, fax 310.395.8811 and Conference Line, 310.395.8484.

Also join me in thanking Erick Garcia, who has done terrific double duty as both LPA Coordinator and Interim Membership Coordinator. We hear he’ll be helping Conference VI Coordinator Tery Lopez to prepare us for Huntington Beach, but he has also just produced a short film submitted to Sundance and has many other projects in progress. Thanks, Erick!
