Alba commits to 'Sin'
Jessica Alba, who next stars in
MGM's underwater actioner "Into the Blue," is in final
negotiations to jump into "Sin City" for Dimension
Films.
Boxoffice on 'Fire'
Thanks largely to the strong one-two
punch from 20th Century Fox's "Man on Fire" and Sony's "13
Going on 30," the boxoffice in North America racked up
some stout returns during the weekend.

Synopsis:
The year is 1938, in the heart of the Civil War in Spain.
Germany invites a group of filmmakers to shoot two versions,
one in German and the other in Spanish, of the Andalusian
musical drama "The Girl of Your Dreams" in Berlin. Happy to
leave the war behind them, the tiny troupe of Spaniards starts
filming in Hitler's Berlin. The hospitality upon their arrival
by the German Minister of Propaganda, has more to do with the
young charms of Macarena Granada. What's more, the only
Andalusian-looking extras they can find in Germany are gypsies
and Jewish prisoners in a nearby concentration camp. When
Macarena befriends one of the prisoners and tries to help him
escape, calamity ensues. Now the troupe must decide if the
movie is more important than their lives. Cast: Penelope Cruz
(Belle Epoque,
Vanilla Sky),
Antonio Resines (Torrente 2, Biggest Robbery Never
Told), Jorge Sanz (Belle Epoque), Neus
Asensi (Torrente), Jesus Bonilla
(Commonwealth). The
film will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles.
