URBAN LATINO TV ANNOUNCES “THE URBAN LATINO TV
LIFESTYLE” RELEASE ON DVD
- First in a
Series of Three DVD Titles to Hit Stores This Week
–
New
York,
NY / March 8th, 2004 - Urban
Latino TV (ULTV), the successful weekly syndicated television
program targeting the young, U.S. Latino market in English,
announced today that the award winning, weekly culture and
lifestyle series will be releasing The Urban Latino TV
Lifestyle on DVD.
The title is the first in a
three-title series to be released over the course of 2004. The
DVD features themed segments from the syndicated television
series that features the lifestyles of Urban Latinos in the
United States.
The DVD features such subject matter
as: Lowrider Car
Culture; Urban
Latino Fashion; Spanglish (the growing
trend of mixing Spanish with English); Urban Latino Barbershop
Culture; Urban
Latino Artists and more.
“The show’s distribution has grown to
an all-time high of well over 50 million homes across the U.S.
via broadcast television with re-runs on digital cable network
Si TV but after three seasons, we have lots of content that
many viewers have never seen or they want to see again, so
expansion to DVD makes sense,” states Robert Rose, President
of AIM Tell-A-Vision and Executive Producer of the series. “We
get daily requests from viewers from all over the country
asking for specific segments from shows they saw or heard
about from other viewers, so DVD is a way to satisfy our
viewers’ needs while simultaneously extending the brand to an
audience that may not be as familiar with us.”
The Urban Latino
TV Lifestyle is distributed by Image
Entertainment and can be purchased in retail chains like Fry’s
Electronics, Tower Records, among others. The deal was
brokered by New York-based Northstar Media with AIM
Tell-A-Vision.
In addition to The Urban Latino TV
Lifestyle, The
Urban Latino TV Movement is due out this summer.
The second in the DVD series will feature inspirational
stories of successful Latinos living the American Dream. The
third title The Urban
Latino TV Culture is scheduled for release later in
2004 and features one-of-a-kind segments from the show
highlighting true Latino culture from all over the
United States.
Urban Latino TV is produced by New
York-based Maximas Productions and A.I.M. Tell-A-Vision, both
divisions of Artist and Idea Management, Ltd. The show targets
the more than 60% of Latinos who are U.S. born and who have a
median age of 18 (compared to Spanish TV’s mostly immigrant
audience with a median age of 35). Other partners in the
series include Urban
Latino Magazine and Latin Media
