LAST CHANCE
TO PRE-REGISTER FOR NALIP CONFERENCE
V
NALIP's Conference V is shaping
up to be the most significant celebration of Latino indie
production ever, says Executive Director Kathryn Galan. Being
held in Santa Barbara at the Doubletree Resort from Feb. 26 -
29, "Reel Change: Framing the Future" promises key
opportunities to meet the industry executives and
professionals who are changing the face and complexion of
film, television and digital media.
"I'm encouraged by the number of first time
conference participants and students who have applied for the
NALIP Conference scholarships," said Galan. "This bodes well
for the future of the organization, and it means we must be
making a difference."
Making a difference is a central theme of the
gathering as evidenced by the title, say long-time media
activists and makers. It also reflects the hard work of NALIP
staff and volunteers, many of whom continue to work long
hours to ensure that the conference experience will be a
memorable one for all who attend. From the opening reception
to the Gala Awards, Conference V will offer ample of
opportunities for learning and diversion in the beautiful city
of Santa Barbara. Pre-registration will close on February
25th. Walk-up registration will cost slightly more and begins
on February 26th. For more information or to pre-register,
visit www.nalip.com.
