BALSEROS

In the summer of 1994, a team of television reporters began filming seven Cubans and their families making voyages to the United States aboard homemade rafts. The team followed them through their journeys to their arrival in the U.S.  Seven years later, the film crew visited them again to discover their fate. This is the true story of people caught between two worlds but determined to survive. The film has just been nominated for Best Documentary Feature by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
